Applesauce Cake

Applesauce Cake

1 ¾ cups sugar

1 cup shortening

2 cups raisins

2 cups nuts (meats if desired)

1 ½ tsp. Cinnamon

1 ½ tsp. Cloves

1 ½ tsp. Nutmeg

2 cups applesauce with 2 heaping tsp. Soda dissolved in a little warm water.

4 cups flour

Mix together and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until done.
