Mrs. Gilman's Chocolate Cake

Mrs. Gilman’s Chocolate Cake


2 squares of chocolate or 4 lbs. Cocoa
½ cup sugar
½ cup milk
½ cup shortening
2-3 eggs
1 cup milk
3 cups flour
1 tsp. Soda dissolved in hot water

Melt first three items over slow heat, then combine with the rest of the ingredients and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until done.
